My New Eve Pregnancy: A Natural Guide to Reclaiming God’s Original Purpose for Pregnancy & Childbirth
Bridget Marie O. Alabi
How many of us have wished that Eve obeyed God’s commandment to not eat the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden? Because just maybe pregnancy, labour and childbirth would have been completely different. Perhaps we would not have to worry about aches, nausea, cramps, pregnancy loss and all those problems that can come with pregnancy. But original sin did happen and so here we are.
God wanted us to be fruitful and multiply… (Gen 1:28). He did not want us to do it in pain or discomfort but because of original sin, we lost our natural harmony. We lost the harmony between ourselves and God, between man and woman, between us and the earth and even within ourselves. Among other things, giving birth was going to be painful (Gen 3:16). But God did not abandon us; He immediately promised us His Son to redeem us (Gen 3:15). This is why we are not without hope. With His grace, we can reclaim our natural harmony and bring our babies into the world just like He intended from the very beginning. But it is not an automatic process, just like we know that exercise is good for us, but if we don’t carry it out, we would never get its benefits. So too, we need to learn and put in practice ways in which we can reclaim our natural harmony.
With this book, I hope to help you have a happy & healthy pregnancy by teaching you the New Eve Method. The New Eve Method is a combination of natural strategies that help women to achieve the health and confidence they need to become new Eves. It is designed to help you regain the natural harmony we lost after original sin so that having a baby would be much easier.
The contents of this book are my version of having a healthy pregnancy naturally. They contain strategies I have used myself and those I have taught many women to use successfully. Where I think you might benefit from more in-depth reading, I have recommended some excellent books.
I am not promising you that by reading this book you would have a care-free pregnancy nor am I saying that you would not experience any discomforts. God’s grace does not remove trials; but He said we should be of good cheer because He has overcome the world (Jn 16:33) and His grace is sufficient for us (2 Cor 12:9). This is why we know that even the discomforts of pregnancy and childbirth would not overwhelm us. What I am promising you with this book is a set of tools to help you have a healthy pregnancy so that you can become the mum that God wants you to be. The strategies I would be sharing with you are natural because I believe that motherhood is essentially a natural process and where necessary medical interventions should only support the natural process. I hope you find this book useful.
